Mudgeeraba show ground is on the corner of Tallai road and Mudgeeraba road Mudgeeraba. You access the show ground from the Mudgeeraba rd side.

http://www.whereis.com/#session=MzY=

You take exit 77 off the pacific motorway and from the North go over the highway and turn left (this is Mudgeeraba road) From the South take the same exit and turn left into Mudgeeraba road.

ALL WELCOME

KOMBI CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY 2009- QLD/NTH NSW

In conjunction with the 'Run to the Sun' event to be held on Sunday 29th November at Mudgeeraba Showground (Mudgeeraba Rd, Mudgeeraba on the Gold Coast) Kombi Club will be holding it's Christmas party at the same location on Saturday 28th.

Camping has been approved but as there are limited facilities, 1 ladies & 1 mens showers only (more loos) and some power (not 15amp) numbers of vehicles are limited so I do need to know who is planning on staying over please.

There is a fantastic undercover area, hall and kitchen for our evening get together celebrations. Please bring own BBQ's or electric frypan etc for cooking.

As in previous years the communal gathering for dinner is planned, BYO meal and some pre dinner nibbles to share.

Again we ask that every adult in attendance for the evening bring a 'Secret Santa' present up to the value of $10 and please supply presents, also up to the value of $10, for each of your children with their name clearly marked on them so they can receive what you have chosen for them.

Hopefully we will have many of our talented KC musicians / entertainers present to once again make for a great evening.

Camping is from 2pm on and the charge for the entire weekend, including Sunday's 'Run to the Sun' entry fee, is only $25 per vehicle.

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF U ARE CAMPING

Which show was 'grounded'?

R :)

DirkHedde - November 23rd, 2009 at 01:49 PM

good question H. is this kombi club a proper incorparated club? i recently saw a couple of kombis up on the tweed with the kombi paradise and kombi club stickers on them but i didnt think this club was a real club. do the organisers have proper insurance for the event? i always enjoyed the gold coast show. i was able to get there the last couple of years and it was a nice setting.

To answer your questions.
The money goes back into the show next year, making it bigger and better.
Klubfest 09 cost $6933 to lay on, gate takings were $7116. Making a grand profit of $183.00
Would you lay out that much in the hope that it does not rain and be a washout
If you attended our last three shows you would have noticed the effort and time that the committee put in, to make Klubfest one of the best events in the country.
I hope this has enlightened you

Yes the show is fully insured, a necessity when holding an event on Counciil grounds
You will enjoy the new 'Run to the Sun'

Hello everyone, I have cleaned up this thread and deleted the posts which were basically going to deteriorate further until the entire thread was suspended.

Feel free to PM me if you are upset/offended about your posts being deleted, but also feel free to continue your discussions via PM or email.....or better yet on the phone or in person to resolve the disagreements etc.

Lets keep the thread related to the actual show.
cheers
Al

the candle flickers
many thanks for the reply.. of sorts yeah
basically it doesn't answer the two points i outlined (reread above) but i appreciate the effort
an attempt at an accountants report means sfa really
the questions were not of a personal nature as to reflect the response it entails it was of... not..
i am disappointed really at the personalising of this issue but most will rise above that here..
moving forward, as to where i pointed out in the example, now with extrapolation, that said clubs do take on such responsibilities where a figure and maybe any excess profit and interest is allocated to further events and to a nominated charity(s) for the event entailed.. this to me is unknown, as is the state registered status with elected reps voted annually etc - the basic questions not answered
these are not hard questions and therefore should not receive hard answers - simple really
in retrospect i am a little miffed as to the response received as to the denigrating nature of wanting to stifle a dedicated committee, camaraderie and all the family fun that will ensue from the event was throughly not my intention

moreover, i wish a great day out for all that attend and that many more events where like minded individuals can enjoy and share a common good may be achieved
thanks pauly :)
