hows things going, cant wait to be able to go out side,
its bad here on the coast,we need rain,,,
cheers

bajachris88 - September 23rd, 2009 at 12:33 PM

This is crazy! and trippy, brissies got it drasticallly, with some strong winds.

earlier on it was clear blue skies, warm and anything, and after sitting in a 3 hr painful lecture with Mr. (I need accent correction classes), i come out and see this crazy wind with red dust (like a mist) everywhere. I can't see across to southbank. its too darn hazy!

All the asian international students have handkerchief's over their mouths like as though its a shanghia smog...

I sat outside for 20 mins having lunch while getting blown away, just insanely trippy and facinating... :tu:

This is worse in intensity than any Shanghai or Beijing dust storm, but to their credit, theirs do last for 2-3 months of the year. If you've got it in Brisbane now, it will be a red hue for sunset. It's starting to clear a little in Sydney now. Was pretty freaky this morning. Both of the little kids came running into the bedroom wondering what the heck was going on.

DaveCarter - September 23rd, 2009 at 01:13 PM

haha great photo. Our school confined everyone to indoors only today. It was hilarious all the havoc a dust storm caused

kombivw - September 23rd, 2009 at 05:52 PM

My black beetle was covered and looked totally orange. Wish had taken a pic

Have some friends arriving xmas from UK who have never been to Sydney before. Would have been good for them to see but of course I have not told them about the crocs that arrive when it rains or the funnel webs around the house and the danger of landing at sydney due to the roos all over the runway (but I did send a link to this thread :-)

rustybug - September 23rd, 2009 at 06:31 PM
