I want to swap my 59 km/h speedo for a mid sixties one, can anyone help?

You used to be able to buy for speedometers a stick on kph conversion, that fitted over the existing mph speedometer face.
sometimes you do see the inserts that fit between the face and the dial on ebay for sale.

go on to ebay and search worldwide
dont type speedo use the word tacho
you will find a lot of genuine kmph speedos for a good pricefailing that buy a fine tip perminant marker and go to town
good luck

No doubt you have seen this one: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/VW-Volkswagen-Beetle-Bug-Speedo-140-km-h-Fuel-gauge-VD...

As far as price goes, this would be the upper limit: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=713417
(ignore MPH markings, looks like he attached the wrong image)

HI adam
I have bought a few KMH speedos on ebay..Aust
they are usually around $120-$150+
I have seen them go for much much more at times...
You can fit any speedo with fuel gauge from 1968> to 1976
beetles excepting the 1303S Super beetle speedo which was different.
cheers

I Can make white face KMH speedos for L bugs and standards. I can also concert MPH speedos to KMH.
