nice find
its a strange concept, theres a diesel powered genny that charges batteries that drive an electric motor, the are achieving 50 mile per gallon at 30
mile per hour, if they dropped a golf 1.9 turbo engine in the back, they could get 70mpg, and a top speed of 120mph.
give me a milliuon i'll make that bug engine run on water!! the technology is out there!

they were steam though weren't they?
i dunno.
I wish my uni did this. Mechanical Engineering (i'm doing at QUT) sure has an automotive engineering minor, but building the cars etc, like the uni
formula series is extra curriculum stuff and therefore doesn't go to any addictional credit points towards the degree . Its kinda give up your time and simply get a pat on the back for it. And times
a bit tight when your studying full time.
+ at qut its all bolt on stuff... the only engineering you do is in the tube chassis. And even that has restrictions for class! Not much if any custom
machine work... then you can't do half the fab cause of liability crap....
sigh...
what about the spare tyre and the shopping bags!
