Just wondering if anyone has used those temporary carports that you can buy from super cheap auto and places like that. those ones that are fully
enclosed with 3 walls and a fold down door.
Our carport only fits one car (reserved for mum's Toyota Yaris) undercover and I'm almost certain the wet season will kick in within a couple of
weeks and would like to keep the bug as dry as possible.

they work... but for a limited time. I had one out the back for the dub as a temporary spray booth. be sure to fasten down the sides with rope and
tent pegs... they like to get airborn...., even a few buckets with sand as weights...
but they are really ONLY temporary, took 6 months before the plastic tarp got rotten. You can replacements though.
They'd be no good in hail though, and are very noisy at night in the slightest breeze.

Since work has ceased for a while for the last 6 months out the back, i don't see any more golf balls any more :P.

Mate,ive had one up for nearly 2 years and has been great.
The Poly tarp goes hard after a while n falls apart.The windows have just started falling apart after all this time in the sun and rain.
I lined the roof with old alsynite sheets,lined the walls with colourbond 1800mm lengths and its watertight.
Screwing the colourbond sheets to the poles help keep it flying away too.
It is a 'temporary structure' and isnt cemented to the ground,only tent pegged through the pole bases so the councils cant do a damn thing about
it.
You can legally put the poles into a bucket of cement.
That was quoted by a council inspector that tried to bust me for it too! Sucker
