Yes, it's got my vote! much better. Like Dave said, just have to get used to all the different things
I believe you could not compare this to the other......
It's a case of there was nothig wrong with the original forum till the ads, with saying that, take out the ads and we all would still be
there.
It has been amazing the amount of work that has been put into this forum but please dont forget the original idea and the creators!
rest assured the original creator and ideas man is still here , just got himself a job
Awesome
:thumb I think this new forum is great- everyones ID pics look much better... I'll have to figure mine out again.
Heaps wierd to me... Still getting used to it, and now I have less time on the PC than previously, so the timing is not so great, but regardless I
think that Brad (and helpers if so apply) has done a great job..
As I said to Brad.. Man, don't ask me the tech stuff.. You build the thing and I will pilot her!!
Man this is great.
Im still getting used to it but far out it is so much better than the old pop up jobby.

heh heh heh heh
Jim,
I'll resize you 600x600 gif down to 100x100 and replace the old 50x50 one when I get a chance. Did you follow that?
ie, I'll make your forum pic 100x100 for you. I have to do it from home though, ain't got the software at work.
I resized it for you Jim. It is still a little big file size wise, but you are the forum founder and all
Ho Ho Ho Lyle!!
Its actually short for Bugasaurus.
probably from too much driving on the cobble stones
but the forum looks great
I would've voted "Cooler than the old one," but it was spelled wrong, and I couldn't say astronomically, 'cos it's too soon to say whether you'll be able to publicise it well enough - I'll get it on as many sites as I can myself.
Hey Wes and all.
I made it. Great to be back.
Wes can you size my pic please. It's on you offroad web site I believe.
Gotta go and watch 60 minutes. Wanna see the sotry on those raping bastards.
The Bronze.
Casturate em I rekon!
I like it. Did anyone esle have trouble getting on for the last few days
Well done guys.......We here VDUB owners, thank you! I like the new style....Bit more APPLE friendly...Looks loads 'cleaner'...Just gota figure my icon out...Might change it though...Now I have my own www up and running I should be able to link from that....right? I can design, but this tech stuff still 'boils the juice!'
We have a problem where the site becomes unresponsive between 2230ish EST to approximately 0130 AEST due to the host server being completely blagged
by other jobs.
I've sent mail to Steve asking him to try and smooth out the activity, but so far no response. I'll keep trying as the machine's load
gets to 70+ (ie, there are 70 potential jobs all waiting in the run queue - this is v. bad = most of the time a decent box will have a load average
less than one and a fully soaked box will have a load average of 1.0. It's okay to go more for short times as users don't notice this, but a
load average 70+ over 15+ minutes is just flogging a dead horse).
Andrew
Mate I haven't got any idea what your talking about but good luck fixing it!
Richard,
at about 6.30 am their time, the box just goes super sludgy:
[pre]6:46am up 24 days, 14:02, 3 users, load average: 0.83, 1.38, 1.52

When the load average in the top right hand corner goes above 2ish for any length of time, it means the box is overloaded. There are some additional
counters that indicate extremely heavy disk activity - like 15 MB/s disk reads a second - which is close to the theoretical maximum of modern disk
drives.
Normal site activity when this stuff is happening is just impossible. It finishes about 8.30 AM their time (about 1.30 AM our time), but it's
nearly our peak usage. So it's bad... :-(
The thing is that it should be fixable. I just need to understand what's actually running the machine into the ground, and offering Steve (the
admin) some performance tuning advice if he needs it.
Andrew
Just placed my vote... better late then never....
glad to see your on the ball there mate.
