Hi, I have been missing from this site for quite a while due to a variety of factors, including something called work.
I need some advice regarding my Beetle. It is an original 6 volt 1300 Deluxe. Has original NSW number plates, is in very very good condition. As
aficionados say "unmolested"
I have just got a pink slip ready to re-register it in NSW.
However, I rarely use the car, and I am thinking of putting it on the market.
Question - do I advertise it with a pink slip OR spend the $750 odd, and offer with 12 months full registration?
If it sells interstate, I have done the registration money cold.
What do you think?
cheers
PS Thinking around $7K + rego
rego
rego, try keep it in nsw, dont wanna loose those those plates
would think that it would be a better proposition to sell with reg would sell quicker
7k and you don't want to register it,if it is worth that surely it is worth doing a reg'n on it.
How about you offer it for sale with 12 months rego (once $1000 deposit taken) if a NSW person buys it or without rego if an interstate buyer takes
it. Obviously price difference if sold with or without rego.
Cant lose this way, Kev.
rego you then have more time if it doesnt sell straight away
Thanks for the opinions fellas. I will go ahead and register it. That way I can still have a run whenever I can.
I really don't want to sell it, but it is just not getting used enough.
cheers
have to be AWESOME to be worth $7k. I'd say more like $4-5k in good nic.
Pete, you obviously know the car better than I do.
