What happened today
sander288 - November 18th, 2009 at 08:11 PM

My fault, but today going round a corner car started to sound different, thought thats odd I thought i had dropped a cylinder or something I had no idea.

What had happened was one of my pea-shooters had come out went back to find it and it was gone...

anyway have new pea shooters on the way but for the time being the bug actually sounds like a WRX not a 1300!

lol, I had the same experience when I was living in the UK some years back, except it was the early hours of the morning as I dashed across a road through some moors to get back home after a night out with the boys.
It fell off half way across the moors. I had to spin it around and use my headlights to try and find it coz I couldn't sneak back home sounding like a truck! I would have woken half the neighborhood! Luckily after half an hours searching I found it... looking back it makes me shiver as it's not the best place to be in the early hours on your own!!

Had a pea shooter fall out a few years ago, and it landed on the windscreen of the car behind. The P plater in his XE Falcon was happy to have the cracked screen replaced, and it cost me only $175. Lucky it didnt wipe someone out.

some people used to take one out [back in the late 50s 60s]
so they would unreal....

but is very Noisy... lol

best to drill a hole in the bottom of muffler right thru the pea shooter.. also use the clamps etc..

You would have had some burnt fingers....lol

it kind of spins me out that you drive your car. i generally cruise past your house about 4 times a day and it is always under the carport. i really should pull my finger out and drop in to introduce myself. are you staying up here over summer or heading back to the coast?

like helbus said, ive heard a few stories of them breaking windscreens

heres the solution i came up with to stop them falling out
tack weld one half of the clamp to the tail pipe :tu:

unless they rust in place the constant heating up and cooling down they always seem to work loose
