Are You THAT old???? lol
I still have hundreds of the smaller floppies in cases...
I suppose i should chuck them out....
they were for an apple 2C I had millions of years ago... lol
before they found that computers could be connected to telephone lines... lol
LEE
PS: I was given a $20,000 computer in 1982...
it weighed about 50 kilos or more...
and the floppy discs were about 8 inches square.. lol
I gave it to My Son... lol

What a great little computer Lee. The 2C was one of the first true portable ones. Apple's pricing structure killed it off. They had a flat screen
developed for it as well but the Mac came out and the II series died a natural death even though the IIGS was on the market for a few years after the
IIC. I have one still hoarded in the shed minus the screen. Should throw it out now you have reminded me!

From time to time these discs turn up at work with something (old but critical) on them that needs to be accessed. There's an old wang 486 in the
office for just those times...
vw54 - November 23rd, 2009 at 12:25 PM
yeah i used to use them back around 1986 or 7 from memory its good to keep a putor with all the old drives on it
our new ones at work dont even have a 3 in floppy any more

Just to give you an idea on how technology has changed, in 1986 the Westpac Mainframes took up the space of half a tennis court. The HDD capacity used
then is now what's in your laptop and desktop.
