hard to be festive here. My employer has gone all big brother and wants us to sign a document saying we will behave as a condition of employment. If I go to my work christmas lunch and after that have a few more beerrs and fall over, they want the power to sack me. If it starts out as a work function the rules are enforceble if we continue on after the function. There are no limits to what a work function is. Its a bit like those proposed bikie laws. If 3 of us go out together on afriday arvo that can be designated a work function. Apparently I wont be allowed in to the $60/head dinner either unless I sign. Lucky it wasnt in force 2 years ago when my colleague spilt red wine all over the CEO! I think he may be worried about getting a slap in the chops after the morale bashing few months we have had recently.

I think I may have a loophole if I set myself up as a sole trader and leave my real work function to attend my sole trader work function though!
