I downloaded Aesop and it installed a whole lot of promotion crap on the PC which I can't get rid of (a re-built is due). Any recommendations?

you can use photoshop 7 to create it, you simply just make it like a movie. but only photoshop7 can do it.

more than just photoshop can do it.

Paint shop pro comes with animation shop which will do it. Better yet, you can download a free 30 day trial version.

http://www.jasc.com/products/paintshoppro/

click on the download trial version. I currently have version 7 so may have to upgrade...

if you have a slow connection you might want to download animation shop 3 from the same site, as that is the program you want anyway.

I use macromedia fireworks. its an absolute piece of cake!

I cheat a little due to ignorance by creating the individual frames in photoshop, save them as jpegs then open the frames in fireworks and copy each image into a new file, as frames.

I then crop or resize it in fireworks.

took me about 20 minutes to learn it.

microsoft gif animator, which you can get for free from download.com can be used to create moving images out of existing still pics, other than that, adobe imageready is the goods.
