I'm thinking of buying one of these, can anyone tell me what the "traffic receiver" is?

Its a real time traffic advisory service through your garmin navigation aid , in that it will advise you of traffic jams and accidents etc , and hence try and guide you around them for a easier trip

i have a garmin and its great! dad also tells me that there is some lifetime update you can buy?? eg. instead of buying new maps for your GPS every year you can, with a garmin, by one update and it will update for free every time a new one comes out??

but the garmin features are amazing too. there is a feature which will calculate how much fuel a trip will use and therefore cost of long route vs toll road, there is redlight camera warnings, there is night driving, there is very cool cars to pick from in the menu...

buy it......

Thanks fellas, what model do you and your dad have baja, I already have one, a 310, but I'm thinking of updating to a newer model, the 310 dosn't have those features that I'm aware of.
