My lucky day - Old VW mags
Craig S - December 29th, 2009 at 09:25 PM

Had some good fortune today, my wife who knows someone, who knows someone was very kindly asked whether I'd be interested in some old VW mags they were throwing away. So this afternoon I received about 40 old mags, Hot VWs from USA (some dating from 1979) and some Australian VW Power.

I've already spotted Henry Spicak's Manx and Houndog, Peter Page's car in an earlier form and Steve Carter's Wasserboxer, as well as some truly breathtakingly awful kitcar efforts from the states which I'll scan and post at some stage. I've also already spotted the Torana taillight.

Also included was a Bentley's manual for a squareback. I'll take that as a sign that I should buy one :ninja:. If only I could convince my wife that we should my daily and try to convince Klaus to sell his WRX squareback to me

Cheers
Craig

Oh yeah man, nice one. Even better that they are free, some people try and sell them for way too much hey.

Start scanning some 1303 action mate!!! :)

And, I may have read wrong, but were you saying that "houndog" belongs ( or once did )to Henry???
Not sure what you mean or meant there..

:)

Whoops! Getting a bit excited there :dork:. Houndog is (and was) Ross Freestone's car.

if you want the squareback make an offer its sitting in the shed with no rego , just fixing all the rust and remaking the engine cover. will be solid again soon and can get a blueslip when done .

just replaced complete d/side sill and patched holes near screen.
