The West Country Mafia ( along with our only honary member , Brett )have been hard at it and sorting out details for our next meeting.
We've agreed on a mid March so either 14 / 21 for the run and have now sorted the venue.
Syreeta from the WCM works for Maleny Daires and has spoken with her boss who has kindly agreed to hand the place over to us on either of these dates.
This means we have the place to ourselves so plenty of parking / Toilets / BBQ and for the people with kids there is plenty of room to run about and play.I'd like to ask that as Maleny daires are giving us the use of the dairy grounds with all the above I think it would be nice if we all brought our esky's and bought some of the produce from the shop...milk, Yogurt etc as a token of our thanks.Also I'd like to ask the VW community for their help in raising funds for a local animal charity that we are involved with here, they're called 4 paws and they basically rescue dogs and cats from the pound and try to rehome them or they would unfortunatly be destroyed.
They are in desperate need of a new cage to show off the kittens on Saturdays when they are at the local pet hypermarket, this would cost about $200 so if every VW that made the day could manage a gold coin we'd be well on the way.We are yet to plan the route and with luck our master of the map ( Brett ) we be sorting a Kombi kindly route very soon.
Please feel free to post any comments about dates /routes / venue / agree / disagree with the charity angle, any issues at all.
