does anybody know if a roll bar in a manx is a saftey item or just a chassis stiffner because its only bolted by 4 bolts all up which is a bit flimsy for a standard bar for saftey.................
anybody.......................
Hey bugzla, I'm pretty sure it just adds a bit of rigidity to the body/pan. My Manx bar work was bolted to the side bars internally and the rear
posts were only bolted through the fibreglass!! I ended up making some braces from the rear shock mounts so it was stronger, wouldnt have been much
help in an accident/ rollover beforehand!! I dont have any pix as I sold the car a few years ago when kiddies came along, but I will doublecheck at
home as I do have just normal pix of it and might be able to see the bracing??
Hope I helped
