Below that are some shots of what it looks like, put together...
1961 uh? did lego actually have fluro plastic in 61? or even those cute chunky tyres, hmmmm, interesting kit, possibly the only one of its kind in the
world, almost as if it had been "transported" thru time!!
NICE toy tho!

I had black and white police station set when I was a kid. And a yellow house with a blue roof. But back then there weren't any special blocks like on this. Just straight blocks and flat sections to build on. You couldnt build anything with angles. I think the first thing that changed was when star wars came out, we had space lego! It was the first time they had any special blocks that I can recall, and even then only a few. They had round pieces for the rockets. I had a big bucket full of the stuff. My mum insanely gave it away when I was about 12 and we went to NZ. Along with my meccano some of it which I inherited from dad. Would be worth heaps now.
You might find that 1961 is the model number of the lego, as they all have a number coding product system, not that it was made in 1961, most of those
pieces didnt exist in 1961.
This is the sort of lego found in 1961
the year is flying, didn't know it was the 1st April already
