There is a Porsche space saver on Ebay now $50.00 buy it now http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Porsche-944-Space-Saver-Wheel_W0QQitemZ200438403115QQc... get in quick
Steve
WOW $50 for a porsche space saver spare, if i put it in my garage would i be able to fit a porsche next to my kombi? obviously the porsche would be my spare car as it wouldnt work otherwise! thanks jon
Hi
Its very cheap, I've seen these go for $200 +, many people on here run Porsche pattern wheels on their cars.
Steve
It looks like the buy it now option has gone because someone bid on it????
Hi
People are so stupid on Ebay, does that bidder think he's going to get it for $25 or something now, I reckon it will go more than the original buy it
now price.
I sold a Corolla on Ebay last week, $1000 starting price or $1500 buy it now, it sold for $1550, so the buyer could have saved $50 if he had done the
buy it now deal..
Steve
Theres one on there starting at $20 as well now. Curious to see what these go for, i know mine just cost a tad more!
Slightly off topic but does anyone know if theres any reason not to leave a space saver inflated if it fits in the wheel well?
Aw man - if only I'd read this last nite, I'd have done the buy-it-now !!!

I have one I bought for $100, not going to use it now so if someone wants it for $75 its all yours. And mine has never been used nor does it have any
rust, perfect condition.

Take the tyre off and put a normal road tyre on it!
That is what I did!
Cheers,
David
The trouble with that is the rim is 5.5" wide and a "normal" tyre will be too wide for a Super's well
The space saver is really narrow at the tread and fits under the lip
Only other option for Supers is a 4" rim and that is too dear an option
Mines a 16 inch alloy one off a 928s4 or something, so a skinny cheap 16 inch tyre may not be so easy to find. I thought i heard something once that it wasnt recommended to store them inflated but i couldnt find any info when i looked into it. Probably my imagination, I cant see any problem myself.
my tyre fitters were completely confused when I wanted to put a 165x15 tyre on it. So I went some where else. Mine had the double inflator on it too that confused me. last thing you want with a flat is to be messing around i recon
165 Tyre on a 5.5 rim no worries, if the rim is slightly wider than the tyre and it rubs on the wheel well on the under side put a piece of carpet
under it. Bypass the dual valves by putting a tube in it too!
Other option is to go to Neale Wheels or there is another place in Seven Hills Sydney and get the centre of the Porsche wheel removed from the outer
and have a 4.5 outer attached to the Porsche centre, then everyone is happy.
Cheers,
David
Hi
I found a pumped style space saver on a cleanup, I had a plate put in by Neale wheels, the plate has 3 bolt patterns, 4 x 130, 5 x 130 & 5 x 100 a
very useful spare, not as cheap as buying one off ebay, maybe.
I think it was $80.00 and I already had the plate.
