Once again Club Veedub did a wonderful job flying the VW flag high at the Motorex car show held at Olympic Park in Sydney over the weekend.
The show featured some amazing hotrods and streetmachines, some racing cars, bikes and a large selection of classic cars from a variety of Sydney car
clubs.
Some highlights of the show included the debut of Paul and Liz's fabulous oval and a vw engine building display. Boris of vintage veedub fame
along with some club veedub memebers organised a complete engine strip-down and rebuild on centre stage. Dave Birchall's '67 was also
brilliant to see along with a white L Bug with aero guards and a big engine. Maybe we'll have another track competitor with this one.
Anyway well done to Club Veedub who put in a big effort all weekend.
I've attched some pictures (VW only of course) for your viewing pleasure.

There was a good variety of cars including a Ghia, Type 3, Kombi, 914 only ovals got a bit boring because there was two of them.
Had to show off my new Yokohama A539s by adding a big sticker to the side of the car. I put 205/50R16s on the front and 205/55R16s on the rear to give
the car a sight california look rake. I can't wait to compare the A539s to the Falken ST115s. I'll get a chance at Wakefield Park in 2
weeks.

Yeah it was good to see some of the Hot Rod trends n new cars.
CT forgot to mention that our Club had to put on a VW engine strip and rebuild.
I was the head mechanic and managed to strip the engine down to the crank in just on 14 minutes. I was stanging around for a minute of so and ecided
to re build it again and magagged to get the case and heads on in our aloted 1/2 hour.
Mined you this was a specialy prepared engine.
FILL ( camper74 ) was comentating to a gathering crowd of about 70 or so people.
CT its a 65 not a 67 but a great day was had by all.
