The movies are....
Field 1
8:00 Johnny English
9:50 Hulk
Field 2
8:00 Main in Manhattan
10:05 Charlie's Angels : Full Throttle
JOHNNY ENGLISH [PG]
Watch out Austin Powers! Rowan Atkinson is the title character in this spy spoof thriller. He’s an incompetent British agent who single-handedly
attempts to save the country falling into the hands of a French despot named Pascal Sauvage (John Malkovich). Australian Natalie Imbruglia also stars
in a new movie from the director of Sliding Doors.
HULK [M]
As the TV series, The Incredible Hulk, the adventures of yet another of the endless throng of super heroes that have emerged from Marvel Comics, ran
from 1978 to 1982.
Hulk thunders onto the big screen under the direction of the masterful Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and stars Australian actor, Eric Bana,
in the lead role.
Bana plays scientist, Bruce Banner (Bana as Banner?) who, during a catastrophic experiment, is transformed - Jekyll & Hyde-like - so that the
demon within him is released in a most graphic and spectacular manner. After the accident, whenever he becomes angry, Banner turns into the monstrous
green creature soon to be known as the Hulk.
MAID IN MANHATTAN [PG]
Jennifer Lopez is Marisa Ventura, a street savvy, independent single mother who lives in the Bronx with her son, Ty, and works as a maid in a first
class Manhattan hotel. Marisa dreams of a better life but has learned to depend upon her own wits to get her there. Enter Christopher Hall (Ralph
Fiennes), a handsome, debonair heir to an American political dynasty. Chris is in New York for a week of glad-handing with party big shots and is
staying in the hotel where Marisa works. By a twist of fate and mistaken identity, the two meet. Marisa soon finds herself gaining insight into the
life of a man she might otherwise have judged from a distance. When her true identity is revealed, however, the truth sets in as to the disparity in
their lives.
CHARLIE'S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE [M]
Singly, they’re dangerous. As a trio, they’re explosive. Charlie’s Angels are back and as anyone who crosses them will tell you, they can be far
from heavenly.
Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu return in the sequel to their smash hit adventure/comedy of 2000.
After a witness protection profile database is stolen, a series of murders occurs. The girls find that the prime suspect is someone who was once one
of their own but is now a fallen angel (Demi Moore). There’s also the highly suspicious and creepy Thin Man (Crispin Glover) making a re-appearance.
As the beautiful masters of espionage, martial arts and disguise continue their investigation, the action is tougher than ever – full throttle, in
fact.
sorry lads and lasses im out :cry just got told i gotta work and theres noway i can doge this one sorry :cry
bummer pyro
Ok guys and girls ,
Just so you know i have been talking to the wonderful people at Greater Unions, over the past couple of months... have been getting the round around a
bit ... but i going to keep hounding till i get an answer on ....
What i am working on is getting them to give us the drive inn at Blacktown or Bass Hill for a VW event... a show & shine day / swap meet / BBQ /
... and movie at night.
i belive they do a hot rod car club thing at one of them quite often , so i hoping that they will see the light & let us have a go.
there are some "insurace issues" as to the public being on the site during the day... but i am trying get it all worked out..... So fingers
crossed... it will be an event open to all VW people .. all clubs ... and general public, who just wanna see some really great VW's on show.
If it dose get the go ahead, i will be contacting all you club leaders and shop owners, to let you know about it & when it would be on.
When i get more of an answer from Greater Union ... i will let you all know..... i would really like to try and make this a once a year event.... as
i said , when i know more.... ill let all you guys know.
Cheers & keep those fingers crossed :thumb
Sounds good. Nothing like the atmosphere of a drive in.
I go to most of the hot rod runs. they are great. Bass Hill is defintely the better of the two drive ins but Blacktown has a greater capacity.
With the rod runs usally everyone gets there ... early to line up, good chance to look around and chat. When the cars go in it's awesome.... a
lot of the lowriders drive around bouncing and spitting flames.
Sat night should be good several people have said they are coming will look great if the kombis take up the whole back row with bugs etc in the row in
front!
One more sleep!
