I was forwarded this link the other day with some awesome ideas for camper trailers that you could pull along with your VW.
Dont know if it has been on here before, but I thought I'd throw it up anyway.
Some are classic tear drops others are a little different.
Enjoy

I've been building a camper trailer made from the back of a kombi. So far it's been cut down and blasted. I'm going to do the drawbar over Easter.
Here's some pics of its current state.
Using a rear fold trailer tent eventually.
what are going to do with the back of the kombi i dosen't look like much room
vanders, thats totally amazing, i'm impressed with your skill and forward thinking, great project, you gotta see it thru!!
Love the look of the teardrop style airstream with colour coded guards
vanders awesome job man!!
im doing one very much the same for my ute
Thanks guys. The engine bay gets a floor over the hole and is storage for bags and clothes and stuff. The spare wheel will bolt up underneath on a
modified moustache bar.
The front part of the cab that you can see in the last photo already has a cross bar, and gets an aluminium plate front soon. That storage area is for
things that don't need as much dust proofing like camp chairs etc. It gests accessed by tilting the tent base.
In front of the cab is a slide out kitchen, and then a box in front of that.
It does mean that the wheels are a fair way back, but this is not unusual with camper trailers. Hopefully I'll get a fair crack at it over Easter.
Should look like this hopefully when finished.
heres some pics of my daughters b/f one in progress
Just loved the tear drop van I had in the late 60s early 70s towed it around NSW and VIC with my Country Buggy ,Wife and 2 kids, the kids travelled and slept in the back of the CB ,toughened them up I recon ( should see them now ) It makes me want to get another one.
