Hi, does anyone know this beetle? It has been advertised several times and I am wondering why it hasn't sold. I love it and am considering it but with a 72 sc ute which needs body work, a 79 kombi camper (daily driver) and a motorless 72 ex-pmg panel van, I want a daily driver that is reliable, well as reliable as a vw gets.
Hey i have seen this bug a few times being advertised in a few places and seen it in a couple of the vw mags so im sure its not a bad little bug

The car is in SA and the owner is a member on this forum. It has been advertised on this forum, and on eBay a couple of times each. I haven't seen it
in the flesh or driven it so I couldn't tell you what it's like. As far as I can recall, the story goes that it was owned by a local VW
dealer/workshop back in the day, and is still sporting it's original paint and signwriting. In the photos it looks pretty nice and original, apart
from the obvious lowering job.

Oh, and 68AutoBug, I'm pretty sure that SC ute means a Single Cab Type 2.
SC ute is a single cab volkswagen ute, mine is a 1972 so low light front with the square tail lights.
I really like the beetle, love the sign writing. Wouldn't mind if I had to spend a few dollars on the motor, just want something I can jump in and
get to work, winter is coming and the kombi arm work out I get when it's windy leaves me too tired to wrestle with my customers. The ute is a mildly
worked 2 litre and is a thirsty beast.
That beetle is owned by 'Splitmeister' on here....I bought my Notch from him.
He's a great guy to chat to, and I'm pretty sure the beetle is still for sale. He has done a lot of tidying up on it. When i picked up my Notch,
he had all the guards off the beetle replacing the fender beading and it looked VERY clean and original.
He had a set of Radars on it at Volksfest in November and it looked real cool.
whoever buys it should really keep all the OG signwriting in my opinion...it really sets it off and adds to the cool factor
Scarab (aka: Paul)

Thanks for the replies. I like it a lot and would definately be keeping the sign writing if bought it
Might organise a trip over to see it after my last effort of buying unseen ended in purchasing a lot of bog.
no bog here mate he got it from a guy who had it stashed in his shed for nearly 20 years i thinkit`s a cool little car.
