They have this Karmann in the showroom. Looks pretty neat, and not a price I could afford.

interesting. dunno about the wheels, white int and mudflaps... but looks like a nice car.

It looks alright, but the maroon colour is ugly, and the interior contrast of black carpet, white vinyl and maroon body is hideous. There's a bloke in the VW Club here in Adelaide who has a "Triple White" one, now that's beautiful. White body, white interior and white convertible top, it was a limited special edition from the factory. Very nice car. His one has air conditioning as well, although I'm not sure why you need it in a convertible. Must be an American thing, sitting in a soft-top with the roof up and the air conditioner on.

I'm liking the 1988 911 that was sold made to look like an older 73 RS replica though! You don't see many 911's made to look older than they are!

I'm liking the colour of the Aston Martin DB2 in the Restoration section. (Light Metallic Green) Would look nice on a Ghia with Beige top and interior me thinks.

PM sent please.

Cool!

I liked it

loose the wheels and a set of Boxsters or twists

Was it really 4 wheel discs??

Shit someone paid that? Laughable. Factory air like mine had, but looking at it maybe a $16 - 18k car. $20k tops.

Yeah triple whites are nice. Was also a triple black which was cool too. Still plenty in the states going for easy money.

Tidy bug but...

Thought to be the last one delivered to cali.....

Guess they didn't realise that cali got cabs for nearly 2 full years after that one was built

There are several with collectors in cali that are later than that one

The tripple blacks are nice

I like the 944. Looks like good fun for the price. Many K's?

Did You see the "original" antique air conditioner compressor... lol

LEE

PS: How come there are so many "last one" cars about.. lol

maybe last one of the that day.... lol

I would think they mean last type. Like a T2 Bay Kombi bus. Last type ran for a couple years in Australia, and still going in Brazil.

You'd think they would use Google before making some statements, it's not that hard. My one is October '79 and is from Cali. Check out Typ 15.com

I have to point out that I am in the panel shop restoration department, and if I must say so myself, I do a fine job of bare metal restoration, metal finishing, panel fabrication, lead loading etc. ;)

The VW Karmann sale was in the hands of the used car sales department. They do what they do. :spin:
