Hi everone,

Just a quick note to say I am officially resigning from moderator status.

It is a thankless job that can bring a great deal of stress at times to keep a forum such as AVD going....something that I was willing to do to help (in my small way) keep AVD a great place to visit and be involved with. Over the years I always tried to bring a degree of level headedness to moderating where possible, hopefully something that may be continued with current and future moderators. Family and business committments mean I don't have the time and/or energy to deal with the niggles that seem to pop up.

I look forward to keep contributing to the site, just not as a mod.

dont resign as a moderator on here mate ,aussieveedubbers needs good mods and like barls i find youself helpfull to others on here and you should not resign,,hang in there fellow vee cub lover its not all bad

Cheers Al for the effort over the lats few years on here. But business and family does come first and the pay as a mod here on AVD won't put food on the table!!

Cheers again guys - I'll still be here (as well as all the shows of course) and hopefully more active as I finally get back onto a few of my own projects after a two year hiatus whilst establishing DAS Resto Haus. Things are going very well with the business - whenever I get time I'll have to start up a thread of some of the work we have done to date as there have been a few cool cars completed in recent times.

You're welcome to stop by any time mate.....in terms of vw stuff happening there is a show on Sep 12 then I think the next one is Nov 21 (not sure if anything is in between in case you wanted to combine the holiday with a bit of vw viewing). If not I'm sure Dibba and Nugget will keep you occupied gimp style anyway.
