Birdman - September 5th, 2010 at 10:40 PM

I was just down a mates place and saw his mint californian import Karman Cab super bug.
It's just wasting away doing nothing with valve spring prob. I want to try and relieve him of it

If its the original Ancona blue colour then itd most likely be a 77-78, dont think that colour was used in 79

left or right hand drive??

pete wood - September 6th, 2010 at 02:43 PM

In the vicinity of $15-20k depending on a whole bunch of things, but lets put it this way, they are easily worth more than a good OG oval.

They're only worth what someone is willing to pay. I'm a tight fisted bast*rd, mine cost me the princely sum of $80:yes:

$15,000 with engine not going... ??
if its fuel injection....
they have very small valves...

$20,000 a good one....
$25,000 a real good one...??

it doesn't seem to matter whether LHD or RHD...

made by KARMANN in Germany.. not VW...

they sold heaps of these in the USA... 1303S cabriolet..

1973 to 1978... 1600 low horsepower to to pollution mods..

$15k - $18k for a runner with struts, older resto, but still solid and rust free. I wouldn't pay $25k for one like the one in the link - that one is top dollar. If it's mint as you say $17k $22k.

Lee - not sure where you got those figures from - Way off the mark, having sold my very good runner '76 Cab 3 years ago.
