Need a set of shock absorbers for a 89 Caravelle that travels on a pretty rough gravel road. Any ideas on the type of shock to use and where to purchase would be a big help, the road is very rough,cheers.

I'd try tough dog shocks or some sort of similar 4WD shocks (although stay away from Ranchos from what I hear). Adjustable is nice, but probably unnecessary. What you need is the largest diameter shock you can get in there for heat dispersion and control. Find a good local suspension shop and talk to them about what they'd fit. Keep in mind, you might need to mix and match bits from other vehicles that will fit the van. There is a big difference between road shocks and gravel/dirt shocks. The extra movement on rough surfaces makes them work all the harder and get a lot hotter. T3s are pretty good offroad, so you might find decent shocks will make a big difference. Just remember, at some level, you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the info, will probaly have to go the 4wd way to handle the corrugations and potholes.

The KYB gasajust's are made for four wheel drives as well, they are exceptional, they are a high pressure gas shock made by one of the largest shock manufacturer in the world, is the vehicle a four wheel drive, you have to be carefull that you do not put shocks on the vehicle that are to stiff and it end's up riding like a dray and the other problem is the strength of the shock mounts that will not handle the forces that these shocks generate eventually cracking or breaking the shock mounts
