No doubt I am not alone..
Coming to AVD and it just doesn't load.. Is there a problem, or more so a solution?
Good to see it aint just me anyway...
Thats handy I can put away the hammer i was about to smack this thing with !!!
Thought might be this box i got.......
Jim.
Sometime's the threads need to be upgraded.
As admin you can do it.
U2U me for more info.

It is a MySql glitch and please BE VERY CAREFUL if you aren't 100% on what you are doing then do nothing. It ain't real hard to fix but if
you use the wrong SQL statement in PhpMyadmin or the upgrade box in the admin panel it will be a real PITA.
SQL is a very powerful tool and a simple error could delete thousands of threads.
I am guessing this is the 145 and 144 error you are talking about. If you are talking about something else lately they you may have hit my upgrade
process on the head. I have changed to a later managemnet system on teh server and there was some glitches there but it shouldn't have had any
effect on the forum itself just the admin side.
I almost got desperate. Not logging on as much lately and when I did it was down:o:cry
At 10 pm last night, I completely repaired all the databases that we use. Hopefully, this will reduce the number of times this thing is ditching.
Best bet is can people please SMS me on 0412 532 963 if you spot the forum being down?
Andrew
How about we just ring you up and offer abuse for making us work :cry
I've been having not loading problems on the front page, but it seems to be ok if I refresh?
J
no worries will let you know
these puters can drive you mad sometimes no matter what you do it is out of your control. I'm glad it's not me trying to keep the forum
going. :-)
:alien
Sms is cheaper.......
besides...... you can always say you mobile was flat!
Andrew...
If you not near a puter at the time you can usally bet i am...

When the forum is down I use the time to surf the net for other stuff. I even get ambitious and do some dishes or washing.
whoever refilled the sink made the water too hot, dam it, Janet.
Guess they will have to wait.
How's that for service - SMS for repair. This forum just keeps getting better.
Pissing me off...
Jim,
you can imagine my feelings on the matter :/
I think I'll accelerate our move to phpBB, that way we can migrate to postgres as a backend.
At least it doesn't lose data.
