A great day was had on Sunday the 20th July when Herbie and other Gold Coast area Vee Dubbers Got together for a run through Springbrook, Numinbah and
Murwulimbah in a similar fashion to Herbie rides Again with all the VWs following Herbie through the hills.
Now This all started unintentionally by a conversation through the "56 oval on Gold Coast" Post started By sleeper
Sleeper suggested we restart the Post Here in General chit chat where others might read it and join us for any future runs, So I have started this
post and here I cut and paste a bit of the previous conversation.....
"lets get it started by choosing a date .... the last sunday of august will be the 31st if all agrees lets get that thread started"
So Who wants to do something similar again on the 31st of August?
We met out front of the Pacific fair Cinemas on the top floor in the carpark last time and I think thats a good central meeting point.
I am happy to organise a run, but I am also happy to hear other suggestions.

thanks for taking the initaitive of starting the thread... as for the 31st of august if the date has been decided i'll be in..... can't
wait
10 am seemed early enough to have a nice day and late enough for me to have a sleep after working late on Saturday nights.
So If everyone is happy we can make it 10 am Sunday 31st August in front of the cinemas top floor carpark Pacific Fair Broadbeach.
Maybee we could go to Purlingbrook falls for a BBQ, I will zip the bike up there beforehand to make sure its still suitable as I havent been there
since I was a Kid.
If we have enough people interested in the future we can find a big flat area and hold a bit of a motorkhana or car game day where we blindfold the
driver and get the passenger to navigate a course etc, there are some good days spent that way and its great to catch up and Meet each other. All on
private property of course.
I also can make up a Navigation Run for everyone if they are keen for future days out.
I have tonnes of ideas having been part of a car club since before I could walk or talk but If you have a suggestion feel free to put it forward and
we can include it in the future events.

A few of us might be at valla at the end of july
I forgot to double check the previous posts Its meant to be 31st of August as the 31st of July is a thursday.
However we might have a cruise on Sunday the 10th August. otherwise we will be waiting 5 weeks.
I was having a chat with My dad today and he sugessted that we set a routine like the 2nd and last Sunday of each month.
A lot of people may be Dubbed out after Valla But I cant go to Valla {working the friday and Saturday nights and just to be sure........My brother is
getting Married on the Sunday the 3rd} and I am sure I am not alone there.
So, who thinks the 10th August is the go for a cruise?

i think the variety club bash are leaving from sanctuary cove that weekend, always fun to watch all those cars leave, there's normally a band and
the like playing

Thats not a bad Idea, we could watch them go and then go for a cruise.

As I mentioned in previous post, the 31 Aug is the only date spare in all weekends in Aug for me.
We could combine our Klub monthly cruise with a general get together of everyone too. only a suggestion....

Well after giving my carbs a good clean getting new dizzy cap and rotor replacing all the plugs !
Bang woossshhh off we go. not sounded as good for ages !!!
