Found out yesterday that the crackshaft in bug has splitt in half so new or rebuild is in order
not having the cash for this im thinking either
-shed it and in a couple of years i may have saved enough
-sell get some small amount back
this is it
sgetty - November 11th, 2010 at 08:57 AM
any thoughts on what its worth to sell?

Put a second hand engine in it....not too exxy.

Definitely don't sell it broken, you won't get what it's worth. Buy a used running engine and sling it in. Used engines in good condition should
cost between $500-$1000, so not too expensive really.

thanks for the reply! my only worry would be having a secondhand motor go south too
Bizarre - November 11th, 2010 at 12:22 PM
can you pull it to pieces and just put a new crank in??
If you stip iy down to pieces and get it back as a long block ??
Would cost about the same as a 2nd hand donk??
Obviously depends what the rest of the motor is like

if you have tools, it's time to have a crack I'd say. rebuilt it yourself. have you got an idiot book or similar?
BTW, what motor is it?
