1303Steve - November 22nd, 2010 at 08:17 PM

Hi

I received this the other day.

Steve

Dear Steve

Thanks to your efforts, we have made the Keneally Labor Government scrap its plans to introduce harsh vehicle modification laws (VSI-50).

This is a win for all 4WDers and car enthusiasts.

I will keep you updated on any further ill-conceived Labor plans, but please contact me with any other NSW roads issues.

Thank you and please remember to drive safely as we approach the festive season.

Kind Regards

Andrew Stoner MP
Leader of The Nationals
Shadow Minister for Roads

Hi

It's not my efforts, it's all of the car enthusiasts banding together to fight the stupid RTA and the current government wanting to gather votes.

Steve

matberry - November 23rd, 2010 at 08:05 AM

Ooh ooh,

I got one of those emails too!!!!

liam66 - November 23rd, 2010 at 08:21 AM

It's not gone at all, just on hold.
They've decided they cant get it through at this stage and that 'more consultation is required' . It will be revistited, revised and reintroduced.
Andrew Stoner is giving the impression that it's all over...they're just regrouping.

hellbugged - November 23rd, 2010 at 12:45 PM

yes got that email too. Feels good to have a win and to have had a concern heard and acted upon

yeah good news even if its only delayed and under scruitany for a second time as they are seemingly learning just how many people, businesses and industrys it will effect

Those with projects nearing completion can breath a sigh of relief for sure

Sigh lol

HotRodMatt - November 24th, 2010 at 11:10 AM

Don't get excited... it's moving to DOTARS and federal level implementation.

Good thing is, that is a very slow process...
