yeah most of my books will probably come from america, us book deposity or world book depository are great places
There are hundreds and hundreds of different VW books out there to buy and collect. Do an Ebay search on 'VW book', or 'VW manual', and you'll
see.
Here is a selection of the books in the Club Veedub Sydney library. These are all available for our members to borrow - for free.
How to keep your Volkswagen Alive by John Muir is a classic.
go to world book depository( http://www.bookdepository.co.uk ).
they have free postage to Australia and are quite cheap,.
type in Volkswagen and heaps come up.
Apart from the tech books which are pretty much all the same, get "for love and a beetle". Its the true story of an english couple who got married
and drove their beetle from london across Europe and then shipped it to NZ. For their 35th wedding anniversary they shipped it back and did the trip
over again. It is the first and last book I have read since high school 25 years ago. An inspirational story. It will make you want to pack up and do
a round australia trip at least.*
The other one I would recomend if I could find it is an older history book. Sorry I cant tell you anything more than its a red cover and about an inch
thick. I read about half of that one! I think I got it from a volksbahn swapmeet stall at an early valla and havent seen one since. Much better than
the usual history hitler porsche kdf stamp war blah book. Geez I hope I havent lost that in one of my many moves of the past few years.
Not sure that I would bother with the hot vws stuff for tech purposes, only collectables. They seem to be very closely aligned with their advertisers
which makes me sceptical of all content.
*exact nationality and locations may have shifted amongst the cobwebs of my mind but thats the jist of it.

'Volkswagen in Australia' is the gem in my collection.
The VW in Australia book is awesome!
If you see a title you like, key it into this website
http://www.booko.com.au - it compares prices on a heap of websites and gives
you the cheapest price for that book from about 50 different online sellers (including amazon and book depository.)
Good way to save a few bucks and track down your books very quickly.
