Race Number Circles
stagvee40 - January 22nd, 2011 at 09:34 PM

I am going to be putting my race number curcles on my car (formula vee) soon and was wondering how to stick them on without to many bubbles. I have heard of using soapy water and a squedgy......Pretty dumb question but thought it may save a bit of greif.........maybe.

Yep a squirt bottle of soapy water and a hard edged squeegee easy as always work one side on before you peel the whole backing off

I'd suggest you should get the guy who does the vinyl to put it on too if you are worried about bubbles.

May cost a bit more but I reckon the lack of pain you your behalf will be worth it.

If you want to ask a Formula Vee person about email Asher Johnson from Check it out Graphics in SA.

Thanks for the replies, wow this forum is fantastic, great way to get advice from some experienced veedubbers. Ian, hows the Daveric coming along? Dad tells me you plan to have it on the track this year.

Regards,

Grant

Yep, I know that Stag far too well :)

For two years your Dad asking me questions about "do I know it's history". It finally cracked open just too late to be the Pizza Hut car.

Ian

Well rest assured, we now have almost the whole history of the car with another gap filled in a few day ago by Rudolf masi, he had the car with a Nota body on it from 88-92. Historic formula vee are about to have a bit of a publicity opportunity after i was invited (through one of dads friends) to race the car at top gear live in march at mebourne showgrounds so keep a look out on TV!!!!!!;)
