According to President Julia the 'Cash for Clunkers' scheme is one of the casualties of the floods. And will not go ahead. Good news I reckon.

It was not really going to succeed anyway. NSW tried the same thing and failed in spectacular fashion.

And anyway, how many clunkers can you buy for $3,000 these days?
