What's it worth?
liam66 - February 13th, 2011 at 06:10 PM
Okay gurus, what price range should I be asking for my buggy? I never bothered valueing it before , but the opportunity to buy another (even sillier!)
toy may be arising.
J and S buggy, 2.0 WRX turbo, custom everything, all professionally built. Only a few hundred km on the build/ paint/tyres etc. 091 box, big discs all
round. Adjustable suspension, IRS rear, lift spindles front. New everything, big turbo, autometers, Very quick.
Engineered and registered as is ( virtually imposible these days)

Best place to get a good price ( hopefully without attracting too many losers)???

It is worth a truck load more than what you will get for it

Me too- but then I've got clearance issues with the alteranator, plus a hole to cover.

and you can be booked for it, not sure of why they insist on the large one on the back though.

Hmm, after a lengthy study of the pics I reckon it's worth around $5k I'll add another $20 for the solar panel on the back as long as it realy works
and not just look prety, PM me your address and I'll have the $ to you by termora arvo.

Geez Liam, enjoy it a bit first mate.
Bet she pulls like a train after the tune!!!
What's the new project? Another rock hopper?
liam66 - February 14th, 2011 at 10:36 AM
Didn't really want to start a new project...but an acqaintance might have to offload a project in a big hurry due to a divorce. It's a cobra with
full polished alloy body, cranky ls1, all the stuff, 90% done ( it's on the road) Was built to track day...super tempted.

They're both slimline but the front is slimmerline. Presumably they decided that the back one is the minimum size speed/red light/toll cameras can
read. Cops arent be too concerened. I've seen quite a few cases of this where the plates dont look new.
amazeer - February 14th, 2011 at 10:42 PM
does it have a muffler on it??

this is NSW where everything borders on the ridiculous as far as motoring goes

I don't normally like J&S's but man that buggy is awesome! I'd think its definently worth 2 cartons of beer.... I'l be on the next flight down
to pick it up!
in all seriousness nothing under 17000, you may have to
wait a bit but it will sell for that eventually. or if you are after a quick sale put it up for 10,000 i bet it won't last a day.....

What Barry said. Probably about half of what you paid for it!
Then if the new toy goes for the same ratio alls good.
