QLD : Munchies Tonight Fri 25th March anyone

Hi all ,

To those not in the know Harry's Diner on the north side of Brisbane has turned into a Ricers paradise , so the classics are now frequenting a burger joint at Acacia Ridge on Fri nights called Munchies .
As with the old days at Harrys this venue is bringing out 100 plus cars every Fri night .
Anyway i'mm heading along tomorrow night for a look in my Rat , and if your keen i'll see you there

Munchies is on Beudesert Rd Acacia Ridge

nothing wrong with harrys - when i went a few weeks ago there was a 60s bug that was on the ground & a baja'd DC bay...
along with the vwwatercooled crowd, commdores, jap stuff, old fords/holdens + shannons mustang, and the police had a display of dodgy mods/accident pics too, personally i was impressed
variety is the spice of life :tu:

Should have come out dude as there was a few VW's there including my Rat which was well acsepted amongst all the muscle cars etc

Are you a young bloke just out of curosity cus i tried to spot who might be the owner of the rat racer while i was in repco but there was only a guy round my age (20)? if you are close to capalaba you should come round to our workshop one afternoon to check out what we got goin on :cool:

ahhh he might of been the tall solid (not overweight) bloke?

not a business workshop, but my brother and i have built a shed that we call the workshop, ive got my oval project (my avatar) replaced more the 50% of the metal in that thing, just finished the 58 build... body off resto, my brother has the 15 window white slammed kombi and a green 356 porche... we are in the shed atleast 4 nights a week and most weekends rebuilding stuff to get more aircooled on the road :cool: normally have friends drop by to talk crap and sling shit at eachother while we work away, but we do all our own stuff and enjoy company from people who have a appreciation for the same thing...:tu:

Cool, I may have followed your brother to Boondal enroute to Dubs, did he take it and it has the personal plates 356 T1 or something? If so we cruised for a while with a black notch on the gateway. I was in my T3 panel :(

nar wouldnt of been him, hes got this one you may have seen at a few vw shows, our interests really lay in early slammed volkswagens but share the disease nun the less with people who have an interest or knowledge in any volkswagen :cool:

and my bad i thought that was my 58 in the shed pic of the kombi and the bug but thats my oval project (oops)

should organise abit of a local gathering in the near future tho try put some names to faces in the area, even a planed munchies cruise and meet could be fun? or coffee in bulimba one morning got a few fellas with similar tastes to my brother and i that catch up every now and then... would be cool to have more join

Yeah definately, I'm up the Sunny Coast tho and need to get my air cooler back on the road. :)

I think Dyno Day will be the next event for some fun, hopefully some racing afterwards too

im really hanging out for the next auto specaular that used to be in cleveland but now moved to willowbank, that will be a sweet show, always a great day at the old venue and now at the new they have drags on and more :cool::cool:
