Well today is the day.........the beetle factory in South America (Mexico or Brazil..I forget) has rolled the last Beetle of it's production
line.
What does this mean to you? (Post your thoughts here!)
A sad day indeed.......over 70 years in production.
Im amazed it lasted that long. Bloody good car hey!!!
Its a sad day, Ive had my minutes silence for the Bug.....
Sad.
A sad day indeed.:cry
but now it just makes all our beloved beetles priceless to us
Good things have to come to an end someday. The Kombi for example.
Today is a very sad day in motor vehicle history:cry
I have had 1 minutes silence in memory of the Beetle.
Long live the BEETLE :thumb
Damn... not a bad innings, but!
and now the value of our Beetles " jumps " UP again.
Good to see Volkswagen the company won't forget it, and it will be part of their museum.
its a sad day "the end of an era" but all good things must come to an end as they say but who needs the new ones we should get old ones and
make them into new ones and sell them as new ones its a bit of a mouthful but it can mean alot to some
cheers mattie
Anyone got any decent photos of the last one? We can then have our own little museum piece.
long live the King!!!! yep a sad day
A great car. Enough said......:jesus

I didn't think it would, but it made me bloody sad to lose something that was based on simplicity, and that worked so well. I recently sold my modern car with ECU, blah blah blah... to buy my beetle. Couldn't fix the old one. Couldn't even work out what was wrong with the old one. It seems as though all new cars now are doomed to being made for a short life so they can be replaced by new models, including new VWS (even though they are still well built cars). Anyway, thats my whinge for the day.
