Phoenix Bugorama pics

Came over to the US to check out the Phoenix Bugorama - lots of racers had mechanical problems however it was great to see some quick cars yet again (like Eric Calabrese run an 8.27 and 8.30 in the quarter).

Car show was pretty good too with some nice cars. Here are some pics.

Right back at the top there is a black bug rag top with silver cone looking dressings in the middle of the wide 5's. What are they and where can I get some ?? They look sweeeeet.

The caps are normally chrome and readily available off the shelf (empi I think) with just gloss black beetle rims. This car however had more of a satin brushed aluminium finish on the caps instead of chrome - I didn't have a really close look as to how he did it.

I would say someone like George at Classic who stocks a lot of empi stuff would have them.

Just adding to this thread..

I bought some of the EMPI ones from George at Classic and they dont fit.. I noticed the BIG difference from the EMPI ones to the ones in the photo above being that the ones above come pressed with indentations to allow for the bluges in the rim where the wheel bolt goes..

I ended up "persuading" mine through with a rubber mallet , and in doing so creating my own "indentations" .. need to just file a whisker off the rims so I dont scratch the shite out of the caps every time I take them off.

If anyone knows where to get the ones above with the indentations already built in , please do let me know.
