Going late april early may for 3 weeks.
Where is the porsche museum again?
Any other suggestions guys????
What about the VW factory with the giant glass elevator/sky scraper for storing completed cars. I'd love to see that.
I agree with vlad01, go to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. It's in the suburb called Zuffenhausen (I think I spelt that correctly?)
Might as well take advantage of your time and see what Prof Porsche went on to build after the VW's success.
I've been to the old one at the factory twice (it was awsome), but the new one (also at the factory) looks totally insane.
I'm sooooo jealous it hurts.
Have fun and don't forget to take heaps of piccies to share upon your return.

If you go to the Autostadt make sure you don't go on Sunday. The shop inside the new car area is open but won't sell anything - its a weird rule. Its open so you can see whats there, but you can't buy anything.
also if you go to the autostadt, make sure you go to the info desk early as they only have one english tour a day. its hard to get on otherwise.
porsche museum is cool just a short walk from the train station in stutgart
Well, Ron took me to england to visit Big-Bang ( http://www.big-bang.co.uk ) and I
was lucky he let me drive the bug
Ron was great company and we had a great time.
Santa Pod allowed passenger runs, so the passenger seat was reinstalled and we did a 12.2 @ 115 mph
I am sure the Birdman made some pics and vids, so we'll have to wait till he's back I suppose.
Here we are getting something out of Ron's backpack and re-attaching the 4-point belt on the way to (or from?) Santa Pod:
The glass towers in Wolfsburg are called a turmfahrt. This is a picture of 1 of them from our bedroom window when we stayed there last month. You
can also now go for a ride up to the top in them. There was more than 1 english tour of the factory when we were there and we did the golf assembly
line this time (tiguan last visit).
The station at the Porsche museum is the one in this picture (taken from the front of the museum). You will see plenty of these inside as well. They
also had an eight cylinder 914/8 there. It was one of only 2 ever made.
While in Stuttgart, make sure you do the Mercedes museum as well if you go there.
Yogie
vw museum is ok, porsche museum is ok, mercedes museum is absolutely farking fantastic and a must see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Im Back, Didn't get to any Museums or The Nurburgring but had a great time at Mai Kafer Treffen and Big Bang, hanging around with the guys from
DKR and Keversite.NL.
First up Hannover.
First we need to wait for the magic sign with the black lines through it.
Then wedge your foot under the dash!!
This is what the entrance looked like
Three shots trying to convey the size of the event
A good german breakfast ( I now have VW inside of me)
Parts like you would not believe
And now some cars
First up German Look
Some cool Rats
Plus every other VW you could imagine
Current Airmighty cover car
Check out the car park !!!
Love the pics Ron! You captured the event very well I think.
The MBT car is still awesome!
Very curieus for the rest of it ;-)
Awesome pics, thanks for sharing! Love that ute/panel van and the way he used the upside down rear window. I've gotta ask what's going on with the blue Kombi in back ground in the same picture? (Also did anyone else spot the Aussie touch?)
In theright hand side seat you can see Ron sitting with helmet on and his camera duct taped on the center section of the cage.
This was the result of our duo-run:
Who is walking in the background there?
geez i like...great pics nice
Wow, gotta get there one day
