I need to get some Atlas flapper inserts put on some stock wheels for my Oval. Went to my local tyre place and he quoted $40-$60 per wheel to fit.
Said its hard to do as they keep flipping up.
Preferably North or Western Sydney.

flappers are a right pain in the arse, and after a while they look shithouse.ive even had them disintegrate on the hiway and fly up in the air onto the
car behind me.they also wear a groove into the side of your tyre.i used to put rubber grease between them and the sidewall ,untill i sliced my fingers
doin it! real whitewall$ are definatly worthwhile for such a nice car as an oval.just my 2 cents worth
I love flappers and had a set on our 36 Dodge for 6 years and only ever lost one, why not fit them yourself but you will need to break the bead on the
tyre, I glued the flapper to the tyre after I lost the first one and then never lost another and look up the fitting procedure on You Tube. MOONEYES

I've just purchased our new 16'' x 2'' set from Antique Tyres where did you purchase your's.
Cheers Fred
I had a set from Vintage but they wouldn't stay on my 65 series tyres. Apparently you need a high sidewalk to work best. Drove less than a mile and they all came off. Now have three for sale. Pm me if interested. They were $120 a set plus $16 freight to Bondi let's say $50 for the three.
They are going on a set of stock Oval wheels that are running 165 SR15 tyres so they have plenty of sidewall. I haven't gotten the tyres put on the
rims yet, so I was thinking of just getting the tyre place to put the tyre on the rim and not have them inflate them. That way I can take them home
and fit them myself.
Fred, What glue do you use to keep them on? I bought them off someone on Melburg Luft, they were $120 for a set of 4, just like type268 paid.

Blairs tyres at peakhurst did mine, the secret is don't use soap or they will just keep getting spat out
