GEX engines?
Fungiwungi - May 11th, 2011 at 12:22 PM

Im thinking about getting a GEX engine for my 73 superbug. Has anybody had any experience with this company??

Reading reviews on the internet has turned up with nothing but bad news but as we all know bad news travels faster than the good.
Id like help from people with personal experience with GEX engines although any input is much appreciated.
Thanks all.

and if you search gex on here and set it to search back to the start you get the same answer about every 3 months when the dollar was high.
personally i think you would be better off with one from a builder here, just avoid the one that uses red silicon to seal the case halves.

Okay, its just that i was looking more for people with personal experience with GEX not just heresay off of the rumour mill. As you know bad news travels faster than good. Thanks though.

Gex is US based so you won't find much about them in Oz but do a search on TheSamba and you will find 100s of actual stories from people usually with pics of their failed Gex engine components.

There is even a Gex hall of shame gallery which should tell you something.

Did You buy it from the USA???

chromed tinware holds the heat.... NOT good..
chromed tappet covers are worst...
