Went to Queensland Raceway today to watch a bit of history from the Porsche Museum going around the track.
The famous Martini colours wrapped around the fabulous 935 'Moby Dick'! 1050Kg, 825hp, 366kph in 1978. The cylinders were welded to the heads!! What a race car!!
Piloted by Derick Bell. Also a pic of the 935 specs.
Gentleman Jim's Weapon. The brakes are massive!
The engine note was superb!
Sweet stuff.
Saw the same roadshow in Tassie at the lonford revival and targa tasmania. Once in a life time stuff, unless making the journey to Germany...
Thanks Craig.....now back to the garage.
