New Rules?

A couple of mates at school today said that new rules were brought in about white wall tires?
Anyone heard anything about this?
I'm in SA, don't know if it was just SA or all of Australia? They said it was defectable...?

they are not allowed on cars with torana tail lights.

Unless you can prove it, that is about as ridiculous as the stupid statement that Obama had been killed.
I heard from my brothers, mates, aunties, vets, receptionists, dad. So it has to be true!

I agree, it isn't allowed on a car with torana taillights, hence why I have got new guards ready to be fixed up and put on.
Helbus, I understand it is a ridiculous statement, but it was just a group of mates saying shit I guess.
Will do some searching and see if I can find anything about it.

I don't know if that is true or not..
BUT
it wouldn't be because they are white wall tyres...
BUT
it could be because they are talking about the white walls that are placed on the wheels against the tyres...
[called flappers]
as it doesn't really matter what color the tyres are...
there have been white walls and red walled tyres..
but it was on the tyre not added to the tyres..
LEE IMHO..
most things added to cars nowadays are illegal if they weren't a genuine accessory or came on the car...
We are just lucky that most people don't know what came on older cars.. lol
LEE IMHO

It might be because they have to grind the edge of the tyre before applying the whitewall
