thats all
How are you guys?
Cam!
What's the URL for your journal? I want to be a groupie, and I can't find it as I don't know your livejournal handle.
Andrew
Welcome back mate :thumb
cheers guys!
HAHA!!!! naa, no more groupies thanks mate, besides you know me in real life, through the VW scene too.
Had a girl stop me at psychonaut on friday night refering to me by my "handle" and I have'nt filled the thing out in AGES?!?!?!
Oh... and, it's now friends only due to a stalker (things I DID'NT know the internet would bring into my life :o) so yeah, you can only view
it if you have an LJ on my friends list.
laterz!
Cam
Dang. I promise I wont stalk you!
Oh well.
You can read my boring life here.
I used to keep a diary on Advogato. That's sort
of relevant for the life I led up in Sydney.
We're waiting for the guys who went to Germany to start posting their pics and tell us their stories!

t'is cool, I believe ya. I'll let you know if I let down the friends only bar.
I've never heard of that journal client thingo before. I like LJ (even though I never use it, LOL) just download a small client and bang!
It's there.
I can't wait to hear how the trip went over there I hope they
checked out the German tuners and got some snaps...
How are your VW's going?
New Beetle: excellent. 4500 km to the next service, but there's a range of niggling things to get fixed, some of them for a third time. And the
clutch / gearbox is giving me some grief so I'll get them to look at it.
Type 3: Well... I need to get it up on hoist and check it out for rust. It's coming up to the time where I need to make some calls about which
way to go. If the rust is bad, it's long few weekends getting the paintwork sanded off ready for a media blast and quick paintjob, new rubbers
and drive it for a year or two before selling if it's still road worthy at the end. If the rust is not bad, then it's time to get what rust
there is dealt with professionally and then to start doing the resto myself over a few years. I want to learn to paint and I don't mind getting
the stuff in to do it with. I think I see other restos in my future, so they will be used again :-)
Andrew
Very cool, I can't do spray painting anymore due to my health but it's fantastic to learn
And pays dividends when restoring a car, to know whats what with bodywork.
Richmond TAFE is is a good place to learn (off the top of my head) they always have hands on projects going and countless relationshis with quality
panel beaters around the place, so you can normally meet up with the right people too.
Also with the amount of rental booths/ovens around nowadays, do-it yourself-ers with the right knowledge really do have the sky as the limit in regard
to what they can do.
Cam
WB.
That is all.
Out.
:P

That's so true. VW have just released a nice beige color - Harvest Moon in the New Beetle Convertable range. It's like the old off white,
but with a modern twist.
The beige is the bottom car next to the word "Roof operation".

I think that will be the color as it's very nice. I was thinking cybergreen, but I don't have a black interior and it'd look funny.

Oh yeah! very nice... You should look at some Audi or VW alloys for it too. Not too big, 16's would do very nicely and really suit the late type
3, definately have a nice clean sporty Euro feel to it.
Cheers Quickbug, were you on the forum before it changed? If so what was your username?
C
Yeah man - check my sig - JeSTeR!!!!

D'OH!!! *opens eyes*
LOL... don't they have banks for that sort of thing ;-)
Ah no body likes banks!:P
