Managed to take a sad pic of Pash not making it too Valla :cry
ree
What a sad photo:cry Never good to see a Kombi on the back of a tow truck
Whats the go Ree
What happened to her?
Rob....
Couldnt get her into gear, was a simple prob in the end , crushed clutch cable tube, but Im hopeless and it was friday arvo and the NRMA blokes
couldnt be stuffed looking at her, This is why Im now learning every single part of her and how she works so I can get myself going, cant rely on
others.
ree
oh and a starter motor she needed too but I could handle that, just got the kids to push her out of servos and keep heading to valla.
Man thats pretty bad luck! never heard of a crushed clutch cable tube happening, pretty hard to carry a spare one of those! some of those NRMA dudes
dont always have their heart in fixing things on the road, not to say they are all the same I have come across some good ones! but most would rather
it be towed, so they dont have to do it!
Hope she's all better now!
Rob....
well apparently a part of my clutch cable tube was a piece of copper pipe, how that come about I have no idea, anyway that bit was the mangled bit.
You live and learn, If it ever happens again I will get under myself and looksy , sorta know whats going on from this little ordeal.

Hmmm
Havta put that one in the memory bank, and have a look at mine!
Thanks
Rob.......
Got caught by a similar thing a last year. Felt like a broken clutch cable, no problem, put the spare in but still the same. Re-adjust and it sort of
worked, but still no good.
After 1/2hr fiddling (11pm, 500km from home of course) finally decided something internal was on the way out.
Got it to a shop (Coffs harbour) told them what I had discovered. Pulled the motor only to find the arm the cable attached to (on the GB) had a hair
line crack. Every time I re-adjusted and it felt OK, as soon as the pressure came on it jumped a tooth on the shaft. $300 for a 5 minute fix and a
motor pulled for no reason!!!
Andy
Thanks Andy
Put that in the memory bank too.
Isn't it great the things you learn on this forum.
Rob......
Ree good on ya

Know it's not easy trying to keep our VW 's on the road. Wish I had of know I'd need mechanical knowledge when I was younger but trying
to learn and keep my rides on the road as it sounds you are:thumb
So glad to have another female VW addict on board here:kiss
Hey our numbers were pretty good at Valla, percentage wise compared to the guys from the forum

Yeah I figured you were with dubcab....he was the one giving directions.....find the beach he says.....i got too a beach...but not the camp ground
beach lol Doh ! Once I got too Valla in the dark i went around looking for victorian number plates and familiar kombis (Kols in particular) to
find where i was suppose to be....I approached the first camp site and said "are yous victorian" and one bloke says yeah then I said
"Kol" and he stood up....that was too easy...At that stage we had already set up with Klub vw for the night...joined Kol and them the
following..
ree
Too easy. The wholeweekend was like that though. Everything just seemed to fall in place.
