Hi There,
Last Sunday my 2007 Passat Wagon died...while driving it lost all power and stopped. The glow plug warning light came on and message "Engine Fail See
Workshop". I had the tow truck drop it to the Tweed Heads VW service centre where it has always been serviced.
Monday morning I went in and spoke to them and they said they would look at it. They phoned me in the arvo saying that it was the Injectors, Pump and
the loom, $4911... I almost dropped the phone and said if it has to be done well it was ok for them to go ahead with it.
The service manager called me on Tuesday saying that they would try for a warranty claim and they would give me a call in a couple of days. ( with
152000KM on it I thought no chance)
this afternoon they called and (I was waiting for the bad news) he said it was ready to pick up and it was warrantied..!!!!! Wahoo!!!! He said that
because it has fully serviced by them and I wasn't a ranting dickhead they were happy to take it to VW Aust.
I know that they have had lots of problems with the injectors on the TDI 2006-2008 Passat but should now be good for another 100K.
Thanks
Jason
Sweet mate - bet you are super stoked.........your wife will be stoked about your fortunate redirection of funds from the passat to the drag car as
well
Win-win
thats excellent news especially after some of the other threads running recently about VW dealerships
That's great Frosty....just goes to show being a ranting raving dickhead gets you no where.
If only ALL VW dealers were like your's, FROSTY.
VOLKSWAGEN AUSTRALIA PLEASE NOTE!!!!!!!!!
...now, what can we spend that $4911 on !?
lmao ^
I have to say we have been looked after by VW through their dealers. Our auto transmission was having trouble at about the 90k mark and VW replaced
it under warranty. The roof also wore through because they were having trouble getting the windows to drop the correct amount when you open the door
and it kept wearing away the canvas. They replaced it at no charge twice for us (took a long time to get the windows working right).
We have always had it serviced by the dealer (not the one we bought it from) at the factory schedule and there was no question about them doing it,
just got the approval and went ahead.

Keep hearing about customers being loyal to brands... great to hear about a brand doing the right thing by a customer !!!

Still laughing today..!!!! But the dollars are all tucked away in the family fund( school fee's, rates, elec, water, rego, insurance....etc) so if i
had to pay it was going to be squeezed out of it.
Dragster has been put on hold again and i have a new car to drive.
(I will post pics over the weekend)
Hi
That's a good news story
There is something to be said for not ranting and raving, until its absolutely necessary.
There was a guy getting around with rust issues in a new T4 (many years ago), he carried on like pelican with VW and they didn't do a thing for him,
I heard from insiders at the time that if he had approached them differently he would have been looked after.
