I've popped a post in the business section but since not everyone ventures into that section I thought it best to post here as well. I've shot
Andrew a PM re. forum sponsorship so hopefully there aren't any issues with this post.
Don't miss it - Saturday November 19th. Mid morning onwards.
As many of you already know, we took over the importation of the Klassic Fab (aka Funky Green) panels earlier this year. We have rebranded into DAS
Resto Parts and have expanded our product line to a numer of other suppliers.
** We are bringing the man behind Klassic Fab (Gerson) over from the US to help launch the new venture, so come along to meet the guy responsible for
producing some of the best repair panels around **
Stay tuned for more details shortly but rest assured it will be a day you shouldn't miss. Bring along your VW....and your kids (having two ourselves
means we'll ensure there's lots to do for the little ones).
Combined with the DAS Resto Parts official opening will be the DAS Resto Haus open day to showcase what goes on in the world of bare metal resto's -
our factories are side by side so its all nice and convenient!
WHEN: Saturday 19th November
TIME: 10am onwards
WHERE: DAS Resto Parts / DAS Resto Haus, 5/2 Calabro Way, Burleigh Heads.
CONTACT: Al or Steve - 07 5568 0143 (or alan@dasrestoparts.com.au / steve@dasrestoparts.com.au)
Cheers
Al
Good luck with the new venture al,im sure its going to be a winner
cheers shane.

Just Resto parts or custom/performance bits too? You know like... Red9, kerscher, lap, mendeola and the like, Australia needs it's own racetaxi

I'm sure Al will be trying to bring in what he can, as long as there is the demand for it.
This open day is your opportunity to meet Gerson, have a chat, and make him aware of how big the VW scene is becomming in Australia, and what everyone
needs and wants available.
They still seem to think we are small fry in regards to the VW scene and dont have the quota for the above parts. Come along, prove to Gerson how
rockin' the VW scene is Down Under and check out the awesomeness that is Das Resto Haus!!!

Al, will try to get down being the new owner of your old low light may even bring it and grab some anchor wax from you.
Will try to catch up with you at Warwick as well.
Sounds good mate - its a great bus and one I'm sure I'll regret having to sell some day (needed to put the funds back into the business!)
Couldn't be more stoked for you guys at Das Resto Haus !! 17th is in the diary.
Make sure you lock in the 19th Frosty.....probably not too much happening on the 17th
My Birthday is the 17th November, that's something!
My wife is 17th November as well. :-)
DOH....
Congrats mate!

Will have the website up and running for the opening (Nov 19th) although it will continue to expand and develop as time and capital funds permit.
I've had a couple of meetings with Rick from Bugpack and have spent a bit of time with Pat at CB on my last few trips - will depend a bit on demand.
Other suppliers in oz do a lot of performance engine stuff at prices we would struggle to match due to the overheads we have in setting up and running
a dedicated premise (once you see the pics on the open day you'll realise why).....time will tell.
Whilst this thread has had a free bump, the open day is gaining momentum - we are trying to cater for the families with little ones (like us) so there
is a jumping castle and face painting tee'd up already, we'll also have some DAS Resto Haus previous, current and future resto's on display along
with all of our DAS Resto Parts products on show.
Festivities kick off at 10am through until around 2pm.....rock up in your Volkswagen and enter the draw for a $500 DAS Resto Parts spending spree
(must attend in your vw and be present at 1pm for the draw).
Cheers
Al
Al you must be pretty proud to be where you are today, from a thread with a car build in it 4+ years ago now. Kudos to you amigo. It doesn't come from sitting on your arse, but through hard work.
Thanks Squizy - yeah mate its been a bit of journey not without its ups and downs....fortunately survived the learning experiences but it is certainly
nice to do what you are passionate about. Still doesn't feel like work so I certainly can't complain
Al
This is good i wish you all the best Dasdubber
and did you say Airkewld?? as in airbags and their beams???
hmmm if so we gonna have a little chat.
Im wanting for my oval to go pssssshhht for a while now and if your going to be a distributor this can be good.
Das, well done, won't be able to make it as still living in jakarta.
I am parts collecting at the moment, so hopefully once your website is up and running the order will be in. Ps more performance parts is a good idea!
no need for those old rusty Kombi parts
Cheers Drew - the website is amazingly time consuming to set up however over the next 6 months (after launch date) it will continue be expanded and
refined. The rusty kombi parts are still important though
Gringo, yep we have our first shipment of Airkewld parts on the water at the moment with our next order just about to be placed including some air bag
setups. Making the parts readily available is our aim, however individuals still have to research and action their own engineering/certification
procedures of course.
Cheers
Al
Good stuff Alan, this is good news mate.
Love ya werk
The open day is shaping up to be huge with lots of people travelling from all over the country (and abroad) to attend. We are supporting the fantastic
organisation Animal Welfare League of Queensland who provide rescue and refuge services for unwanted animals - there will be heaps of food and drinks
available for a gold coin donation to the AWL.
We will be showcasing all of our products including a number of brand new items that have not been seen in Australia before! DAS Resto Haus
restorations, past, current (and future) will also be on display.
Bring along your VW to be eligible for our random draw $500 DAS Resto Parts gift voucher (must be present at 1pm for the draw by Gerson Caicedo -
founder of the Klassic Fab funky green panels). So jump in your bus, bug, golf, type 3 or any other VW and cruise down to enjoy the festivities! Free
jumping castle and face painting for the kids will keep them happy.
Cheers
