First Job
kOMBI KARMA - August 11th, 2003 at 10:01 PM

Ok, With only 3 days of holidays left, today I was going to go for a bit of a drive but the weather was a little miserable so I desided to stay home. I washed and vacumed Pash and thought to myself I might just go a step further today.
After many days n nights freezin as I drove, I thought surely I could hook my heater up, how hard could it be.......after a little while.....wont say how long......and ok I made a phone call for instructions too....... I successfully completed the job. Yes Im proud as punch because i went one step further than just checking the oil or changing a wheel and for a brief second I thought I was a real mechanical wizz.
I have a long way to go but Ive made the first step, no looking back now.

Oh I also tightened a windscreen wiper blade lol

isnt it such a wonderful feeling when you have taken something apart/put it back together and it works? :bounce
And it makes it all the more wonderful when you are female and did it with no help from a man! :)girl power:) woohoo!

KruizinKombi - August 12th, 2003 at 05:46 PM

Well done Ree, feels good doesn't it? :D

You wanna come down and get my rear brake drum off for me? It's stuck and frustrating the hell out of me! I still haven't changed those wheel bearings yet, even though I've done four thousand kms since I bought them! :o I'm borrowing a puller this week so I can remove the hub and drum as a unit. :thumb

Hmmm, there's something about chicks working on VW's that really does it for me! ;):D

kOMBI KARMA - August 12th, 2003 at 06:07 PM

Hang on Hang on, let me just see what a brake drum looks like first before you ask me to pull yours off.....Id probably go pullin the cv joint off or something . Dunno what a cv joint is either but I think its around that area haha
boy oh boy
Ree

KruizinKombi - August 12th, 2003 at 06:31 PM

Yeah, CV has to come out too so I can pull the rear axle and change the inner bearing. :thumb
