Wtd: Steering Wheel Repair and painting
pantelis - October 4th, 2011 at 10:13 PM

I'm in need to fix a few cracks on a 64' beetle steering wheel. Would anyone know of any places in Melbourne that could do a good job?
Also, what price would i be looking at?

You would be better getting it done by someone on here..
or Do it Yourself...

Getting it done professionally is VERY expensive... $$$$$$

fill the cracks with filler and sand it down with wet and dry paper
and undercoat and sand down again then paint with Gloss epoxy spray can... comes up very good... Very Glossy...

I have My original black steering wheel which I am going to fill the cracks undercoat and paint with Epoxy spray can Black...

I have found that Epoxy paint is a very hard paint and adheres to the item very good....

cheers
