Was just wondering, for cars registered in the mid-60s, what letter did the VIC number plates start with??

I know 'K' plates were issued late in the '60s in Vic.

Mid sixties would have been a J plate. K's started in about 67 or 68 and petered out in early 71.

Cheers,

1963-4 EH Holdens are mostly HR*.000 to JD*.000

I bought my first new car a standard model VW in Dec 63 and the plate was HXJ 135

Depends on the year, J ended around the start of '68 a my early '68 registered car is JZ.... I knwo the printed version of the redbook used to list the start and end plate of each year, perhaps they have it online now?
