I must have missed this mate - how come you have bought a new L bug and are pulling bits off your blue one to suit ?

I hope you didnt have an accident ? or rust problems.. ?

Lets just say that even "sensible old people" have lapses in concentration.

Ummm....i will blaim the rain.......

Hmmmm..... hope this post goes to the back as quick as my Buy Swap and Sell ones do!

Ahh.... just screwed up :(

So I have bought a good (i hope) one. Well at least shiny WITH A NEW DASH

What i am finding is the 15 yrs i had Blue1 i had done lots of things, CV's, steering, torsion bar doughnuts etc etc

Still - i will get over it

Is that worse than it looks ?? looks repairable !! :)

mmm it does look do able but you still gotta weigh up the replace it with the repair it values

Bummer - I know how embarrassing and gut wrenching it is to prang a car you've built - I crashed my first beetle (a 67). Wrote off the body (was repairable, but needed proffessional work to pull the front end straight and the door pillar), but the chassis was straight, and lived again as a 57 baja.

Commisserations to you.

But - every cloud has a silver lining - now there is more than one Red L Bug on the forum !!!!!!! :)
