We have a 91 twin cab ute - 2 WD - on the weekend some @#$% person set fire to it - we managed to put it out - but the front of it is quite damaged - our vw mechanic said he can save it as he has a donor vehicle - BUT the insurance company - will not pay for repairs only mkt value of what its worth. They have asked me to find evidence of what the market is paying for these very unique vehicles. In the past we have had offers of around $10,000. Can anyone please help us - if you have bought or sold one of these in the last 36 months - by providing us with some sort of evidence of sale/purchase price that I can give to the insurance company. It could mean quite a few thousand dollars difference for us. (please email )
Get in touch with Bert as he bought one about 8 months ago.

I bought a 1990 Doka for $17k in Feb this year.
Cheers Phill. Have exchanged email last weekend but been busy as this week and hopefully mail I just sent after seeing this thread this morning will help.
Hmmmm... Very interesting. Now I'm not sure if this is the same car...but.. Is this a white dc for sale in upper north area of Sydney? Also the one
which has been for sale for over 8 months, when most T3 dcs sell very quickly. Could this also be the one which was owned by a guy I worked with last
year who lives in Berowra? with more than it's fair share of rust for a t3, sold by him, to you, on Carsales for 5k?
You will have to forgive me if I seem a tad blunt, but the car in question was not worth $10k, You didn't buy it for $10k and you weren't able to
sell it for $10k.
Now it has accidentally caught on fire (by persons unknown I'm presuming) and you want twice as much as you bought it for a little over a year
ago....
If this is another vehicle, I'm sorry for your loss, but I doubt it is.
And hey moderators, if you want to remove this post could you also do me the favor of turning my avatar around the right way? Why on Earth you would
ever decide to do something so petty is beyond me.
